If life isn't perfect, your hair can be!

ONE soap does it all. Are you ready to say good-bye to conditioners and the like? Wash and go. It's really as simple as that. With powerful antioxidants; rice bran oil, olive oil, green tea, and pure essential oils for healthy, glossy hair. These hair soaps are great for silver hair too, they leave it silver and not yellow! You want to transition to a natural product. Here’s our hair soap guide:

PURE!

The new PURE! is free from essential oils. We have made it bigger and even milder for problem scalps. PURE! contains rice bran oil and leaves your hair super shiny and great to touch. All types, from coloured to grey, or chemically treated hair.

BOOM!

Our best-selling hair soap with rosemary and patchouli. Rosemary is known to soothe irritated skin. If you have dandruff, try this one! All types.

OH!

The new OH! with rice bran oil is ready! Get the SHINE. Lightly super-fatted, works on all types of hair. Lovely fruity and citrussy smell of litsea and coriander. All types. From coloured to grey, or chemically treated hair.

YAY!

YAY works miracles on low-porosity afro hair. Get it to have soft, shiny and manageable hair. Great if you want to braid your hair after washing, or if you want to detangle very curly hair without the use of loads of hair care products.

How to use hair and body soap

When using hair soap, instead of lathering the soap up in your hands, rub the bar into your hair and scalp directly. It creates a much richer lather and cleanses your hair and scalp more thoroughly. We find sectioning the hair into three parts and rubbing the bar in to be most effective. Our hair soap lathers beautifully and feels like any detergent shampoo. Lather up and rinse with warm water as you normally would. Wash and go.

Will hair soap work for my hair?

Yes. But you might need a little patience. Your hair is as individual as you. When you first use hair soap instead of a commercial detergent shampoo, your hair might become heavy, dull and greasier, or you may experience detangling problems or it may feel waxy straight after rinsing. Not to worry. As you transition to a natural soap, give your hair time to get used to its new chemical-free life. The transition period can range from a few days to a few weeks or even a month. It depends on how damaged your hair is, residue and build-up and your type of hair. Your patience will be rewarded with shiny, healthy hair.

If you are struggling, perhaps try this

Some customers have come back saying that they could speed up the transition process by rinsing their hair with a mix of 1 litre of warm water and a spoonful of vinegar or lemon juice after washing it. If you're struggling, try it and see if it works for you.

How to make your natural soap last

Natural soaps are high in natural glycerin and vegetable oils that will break down quickly if sat in a soggy soap dish. Let your soap dry properly. Please store unused natural soaps in a cool and dry place.

How to store your Hair and body soap

Take a look at our magnetic soap holders made from reclaimed timber. They are perfect on the wall next to your sink, and they can hold any of our soaps easily.
